Air Max has always been about visibility – introducing bold colors to running footwear and making the unseen visible through the introduction of visible air in 1987. Twenty-six years later, the desire to be seen has amplified and inspired the new Air Max Glow Collection. The Nike Glow Collection features glow-in-the-dark accents on the Nike Air Max 1, Nike Air Max 90, Nike Air Max 95, and Nike Air Max Thea to make them more visible during night runs.
Glow-in-the-dark prints under the mesh contrast with the crisp white tape construction in low light conditions. At any time, in any light, it is now possible to stand out. The Nike Air Max Glow Collection is now available at select Nike Sportswear retailers.
Flyknit is a Nike construction in which some areas of the upper are woven tightly and others are woven loosely. The loose weave allows the shoe to bend with your foot for greater comfort, and the tight weave provides support in key areas where you need it. More recently, Nike debuted its AtomKnit material on the Alphafly Next%. With this upper, Flyknit is stretched and steamed to create an even lighter material. Moreover, Vaporweave is made of a mixture of TPU and nylon, so it’s lighter than Flyknit and doesn’t soak up moisture, so rain and sweat won’t slow it down.
